Hello, friends!
It’s been an interesting week. I’ve started a side hustle with the goal to double my income. Maybe I’ll write about it further down the line because now I’ll have to combine it with my full-time job and work longer hours, so that should be interesting (and hopefully more fun than it sounds). But for now, here’s what I’ve got in store for you today…
☀️ What to get inspired by

This guy Easlo blew my mind. $200k earned for selling Notion templates? Fucking cool!
If you haven’t heard about Notion, it’s one of the biggest apps for note-taking, planning, and organizing. It’s so popular that many companies use it to document their workflows and store information.
But the app can be complicated and once people realized it, a ton of Notion specialists appeared on freelance platforms offering help. Or, like Easlo, you can create templates and make a few thousand grand of passive income every month.
The main takeaways for me are:
Today you can learn anything for free/almost free and monetize it while sitting in your bedroom
If you stay on top of things, it’s not hard to know what people need and how you can help them + get paid for your work
Create digital products instead of physical ones. You have 5 billion potential customers who use the internet and it’ll keep growing. That’s where the $$$ is
📺 What to watch
If you ever wanted to watch a documentary about world history hosted by a dummy, this is it! Or rather, it’s a mockumentary. Cunk on Earth is a British mini-series made by the Black Mirror creator and it could be one of the funniest things you’d watch.
The main character, Philomena Cunk (perfect name for a song by an indie rock band), travels around the world and tells us about “history” with a help of various experts. Just to give you an idea about Philomena’s views on different topics:
On Christianity: “It is the fidget spinner of medieval times, a huge craze that would last forever.”
On ancient Egypt: “The Egyptians believed the most significant thing you can do in your life was die. And the more important you were, the more complicated your death had to be.”
On women: “Millions of young men died during the war, but fortunately, humankind had discovered a new kind of man: the woman.”
A few years ago they also made Cunk on Britain, which I’ll watch soon together with my bae😊

Instagram post by Joel Thottan
“You’ll never forget your first team, your first manager, your first mentor and your first super boss.” This is a bit from Joel’s recent post and if you’ve ever worked at more than 2 companies, you’d probably resonate with it a lot. Click on it to check out the whole post.
Full transparency: I had first reached out to Joel via LinkedIn asking if the company he works at would be interested in a solution that I sell at my current job. Joel asked me to share more info but it didn’t go forward as it often happens with such things (no hard feelings, of course).
Back then I also followed Joel on Instagram because I thought his writing was very relatable, and this post is a great example of that. It’s about your first workplace, first presentation, first project, first paycheck, first time getting a “yes” after desperately sending out your CV to hundreds of companies and getting no response because you’ve just recently graduated uni and don’t have much experience.
Personally, I still recall my first job pretty often. Definitely more than my second job. And I realize that despite its drawbacks, it was a pretty special place and I’ll be forever thankful to them for hiring me, teaching me loads of stuff, being generous, letting me travel, and helping me to really smell the team spirit (please get this reference). I was very lucky to be a part of it and once again I realize that every single thing in our life happens for a reason.
But what do you think about your first job? Vote below.

Opinion Overload by Simple Plan
This is why I love punk music. It’s about rebelling against people who throw their opinion about what you do and tell you how to live your life. And Simple Plan is so good at crafting these messages!
I was around 12 when I discovered them in a movie called New York Minute starring the Olsen twins. I first thought it was a fictional band but then I found a pirated CD of their album at a random music shop and instantly loved it. I think I was the only person in my small hometown who had heard about SP at the time and proactively searched for their records. Good times.
💡 What to think about
Quote of the week:
“Christianity was also expanding, thanks to missionaries. The missionaries were known for their position, which was that the big man, God, was on top and the rest of us had to lie back and take it.” Philomena Cunk
